What I do at Healthhaus and how I can help you
I work as an assistant to the Finance operations of the business including Reconciling Daily Takings, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Monthly Reporting, Adhoc Finance related matters, Office stock ordering plus many other adhoc requests.
I have also just been accepted to join the Membership team as an advisor where I will be assisting the friendly membership team in meeting prospective new members whilst also assisting with the daily administrative duties of a busy Health Club and Spa.
What I love about working here
I love working with amazing people who are very motivated as part of their daily employment duties, and I love working in an environment that encourages your own well-being and happiness and helps you achieve your goals.
I was previously a member of Healthhaus since 2019 and got to know quite a lot of the team over the years. I saw a vacancy and applied for it. I used to work in the Construction Industry employing 20+ staff and subcontractors. That was probably one of the best times of my life with my husband Gary (who passed away in 2024).
My passions outside of work
I have two adult children whom I adore. One still lives with me and works at Jersey Finance and the eldest one lives in bonny Scotland. I also have two Cocker Spaniels, Bailey and Biscuit. Bailey is the mum - a very pretty dog with black fur who loves to come give me a smelly kiss in the morning to wake me up! When Bailey had a litter in May 2024, we kept one her of boys who is biscuit coloured - which is why we ended up calling him Biscuit. They keep us busy!
I also love baking and make a lot of cakes for Jersey charities, mainly at Xmas to raise funds for Jersey Hospice, but also to support RNLI, Mont A L’Abbe PTA, Jersey Cheshire homes as well as making cakes for my family (which they love!).
